  Currently, she serves as the Chairwomen for the Richton Park Sister Cities Committee.

In addition to her work in the village, Mrs. Smith has worked with a variety of community and church organizations such as; the G.R.A.C.E. Ministry, where she mentored teen girls within her church; and, the Servant hood Ministry, where she works to place members into various ministries within her church.

Mrs. Smith is currently a Regional Human Resources Officer, with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).  She has over 20 years of human resources management experience in both the private and public sectors.  In her current position, she leads a dynamic team of twenty-four (24) human resources professionals, providing strategic and administrative human resources support and guidance to a workforce of over 2000 employees within the 10 states that comprise the Chicago/Kansas City Region.  Her team provides services in the areas of Benefits and Compensation; Employee and Labor Relations; Recruitment and Outreach; Security and Suitability; and, Training and Development.  Prior to joining the DOL, Pamela worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office - Northern District of Illinois, the Federal Aviation Administration – Great Lakes Region, LyondellBasell, and Ford Motor Company.
