Welcome to the Village of Richton Park Police Department’s website. Our department takes pride in providing quality law enforcement services to our community. We do this by working in partnership with residents, schools, local businesses, home owner associations, civic groups, churches and other government agencies. As the head of the police department, I commit myself and staff to work in cooperation and collaboration with the members of the community to provide a safe, healthy and peaceful environment.

There are many exciting programs our department will offer the community in the upcoming year.  The Anti-bullying program will take place in District 159 and 162 elementary and middle schools.  Officers will implement the Teen Dating Violence curriculum in District 227 high schools.  Parent and teacher violence prevention training will also take place.  Crime Analysis tools will be used to solve crime faster and more efficiently, freeing up officers to become more visible in the community. These are just a few examples of outreach efforts that have been put into place to better serve the needs of the community.

It is my hope that you find this website to be useful. I welcome input from the public on what you would like to see here to better suit your needs.

Sincerely,

Chief Elvia P. Williams
