On the evening of June 21, 2025 at approximately 7:09pm the fire department was dispatched for a structure fire (building fire) at 22700 block of Ridgeway Ave. Crews arrived and found heavy smoke coming from the detached garage.
Crews deployed a hose line and performed an aggressive fire attack. The fire was quickly brought under control and the damage was contained to the garage and contents in side of the garage. No injuries were reported.
Crews on scene determined that the cause was a child playing with a lighter.
