Rich Township High School Administration was made aware of a threat circulating on social media affecting multiple school districts in our area. In response, we immediately contacted local law enforcement, and the situation is currently under investigation.
As a precautionary measure, all district buildings have been placed on a soft lockdown. This means that while classes will continue, movement throughout the building will be restricted, and all exterior doors will remain locked. We are working closely with the Matteson, Park Forest, Richton Park, and Olympia Fields Police Departments as well as the Cook County Sheriff’s Department to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
