For many years, the Veterans Services Office has been fortunate to have dedicated supporters join us in honoring service members at our Veterans Day Ceremony. Among them, the Village of Richton Park has stood out, and gone above and beyond.
In 2016, the Richton Park partnered with Prairie State College to recognize Vietnam Veterans during their 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony. In 2018, the College and the Village collaborated again to bring the CAF Tuskegee Airmen Traveling Exhibit to the Southland, a powerful tribute to legacy and service.
Over the years, the Village has continued its commitment to veterans through resource fairs, educational programs, and its annual Veterans Day Parade - an event everyone is proud to participate in each and every year. Prairie State's office has maintained an ongoing dialogue with the Richton Park on military-affiliated matters, deeply valuing such a partnership.
Together, Prairie State and Richton Park look forward to continuing a shared mission of serving veterans, active-duty service members, and their families throughout our community. Richton Park's President, Rick Reinbold has been very crucial in making all of this happen. That being said, Reinbold has been presented with the "Outstanding Supporter" Award.
